The Toyota Corolla Cross leads the way again in Taiwan.

45,678 new light vehicles found a buyer in Taiwan in July, that’s 7.8% over the year-ago figure. Year-to-date, the market tilts into positive at +0.3% to 278,181. Toyota (+5.1%) trails the market slightly but delivers an outstanding share at 29.9% vs. 26.3% so far this year. Lexus (-5.1%) is in difficulty year-on-year but also scores a strong share at 7.3% vs. 6.6% YTD. Mercedes (+43%), Honda (+53.9%) and BMW (+33.7%) all post surreal gains below. Mitsubishi (+18%), CMC (+14.4%), Mazda (+12.9%) and Nissan (+11.2%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10 while MG (+22.7%) drops to #11.

Model-wise, the Toyota Corolla Cross (+8.7%) easily holds onto the top spot with a splendid 9.6% share, its best since November 2022 (9.9%). The Toyota Town Ace (+34.9%) returns to the 2nd place it holds year-to-date, overtaking the Toyota RAV4 (+4.9%) which stays at #3. The Honda CR-V (+5776.5%) compensates for a particularly drab year-ago result to rally back up to #4. It distances the Lexus NX (-2.7%), the new Toyota Yaris Cross and the Toyota Corolla Altis (-30.1%). The new Luxgen n7 remains inside the Top 10 at #9.
