St. Paul police investigating fatal shooting in Frogtown neighborhood

St. Paul police are investigating a Wednesday night shooting that left a man dead in the Frogtown neighborhood.

According to police, officers responded to multiple 911 calls about shots fired and an apparent victim at Charles Avenue and Galtier Street.

Officers found a man sitting in a parked car. He had apparent gunshot injuries to his torso. St. Paul Fire Department paramedics rushed him to Regions Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide investigators were working late Wednesday to determine the circumstances of the shooting and who perpetrated it.

The victim wasn’t immediately identified pending investigation by the Ramsey County medical examiner’s office.

The man’s killing is the 15th homicide of the year in St. Paul.
