St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter to deliver budget address on Aug. 13

St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter will his deliver his 2025 budget address at 10 a.m. on Aug. 13 at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in downtown St. Paul.

The address, the seventh of Carter’s mayoral career, will lay out the city’s spending priorities and a projected property tax levy for the coming year. It is free and open to the public. The St. Paul City Council will set the maximum tax levy in September, and finalize changes to the budget and tax levy in December.

Following the address, the mayor will host a community lunch with food trucks and activities in Rice Park. He will then deliver the library budget address at 12:30 p.m. outside of the George Latimer Central Library at 90 West Fourth St.
