King Charles ignoring Prince Harry’s calls amid royal feud: report

King Charles is reportedly snubbing Prince Harry’s attempts to get in touch, even as the 75-year-old monarch undergoes treatment for cancer.

Though the Duke of Sussex, 39, met with his father in February on the heels of Charles revealing his cancer diagnosis, Harry’s recent calls have been met with “complete silence,” a friend of the prince told People.

A royal insider told the outlet that Harry has been trying to contact his father in hopes he can convince the U.K. government to restore the royal security he and wife Meghan Markle forfeited when retreating from their senior royal roles in early 2020.

The “frightened” prince feels that Charles is his only option after a court denied the former’s offer to personally pay for his family’s protection — even though the late Queen Elizabeth II found it “imperative” for the couple to maintain “effective security,” per court documents obtained by People.

Despite a source noting Harry’s efforts to “protect his own family at all costs,” his friend notes that even his attempts to check on his dad have been in vain.

“He has tried to reach out about the King’s health, but those calls go unanswered too,” said the friend.

Back in May, Charles also snubbed Harry’s invite to a 10th anniversary event for his Invictus Games in London. During that trip, the father and son did not see one another, reportedly due to the latter’s “full” schedule.

Just last week, ITV dropped the documentary “Tabloids on Trial,” which features a sit-down with Harry discussing his many lawsuits against British media, which he said plays a “central” role in the royal family’s feud.

“Anything I say about my family results in a torrent of abuse from the press. I’ve made it very clear that this is something that needs to be done. It would be nice if we did it as a family,” the prince said. “These are the things we should be doing, and for the greater good.”

Earlier this year, the “Spare” author dropped a libel lawsuit against the publisher of the Daily Mail, after last December winning a case against the publishers of the Daily Mirror.

While a former employee of Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation told People that Meghan “supports Harry 100 percent,” the “Suits” alum reportedly “wishes he could let go of these lawsuits, be happy and live in the moment.”

“She wants him to be free of all of this,” said the ex-employee. “She wants him to live in a world where he is not burdened by this.”
