Gophers women to play in two holiday tournaments
Gophers women’s basketball has nailed down four nonconference opponents for the 2024-25 season, announcing Thursday the team will play in two holiday tournaments in November.
Minnesota will play against Southern Methodist and Oregon State at the Briann January Classic in Tempe, Ariz., Nov. 16-17. The Gophers will then be a part of the Big Easy Classic field in New Orleans, playing Houston and Louisiana.
These are the first nonconference opponents the Gophers have announced. The rest of the schedule is expected to released in early fall.
