Pagani Introduces Utopia Roadster, The Ultimate V-12 Powered Manual Drop-Top

Pagani has once again captivated the automotive world with the introduction of the Utopia Roadster, an exquisite V-12 powered manual drop-top. This latest addition to the Pagani family is a masterful blend of performance, luxury, and aesthetic brilliance.

The Utopia Roadster is a true work of art, showcasing a twin-turbo V-12 engine paired with a manual gearbox. Its Habanero Red exposed carbon fiber exterior, inspired by the Zonda’s Dubai Red, is nothing short of breathtaking. The roadster retains the coupe’s iconic design elements, including dual rounded headlights, a prominent grille, circular taillights, and the signature quad exhaust tips. Notably, it also features the coupe’s distinctive butterfly doors.

Performance-wise, the Utopia Roadster rides on staggered 21-inch front and 22-inch rear wheels, fitted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa Cyber tires. These advanced tires communicate with the car’s systems, such as ABS, slip control, and traction control, to optimize performance. The roadster shares its 6.0-liter V-12 engine with the coupe, producing an impressive 852 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque. With an electronically limited top speed of 217 miles per hour, it’s only slightly behind the coupe’s 220 mph.

Enthusiasts have the option to choose between a seven-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed automated manual with paddle shifters. While the automated version promises lightning-fast shifts, the manual gearbox remains a purist’s delight. Despite the addition of a removable hardtop roof, the Utopia Roadster maintains the coupe’s dry weight of 2,822 pounds, thanks to Pagani’s advanced monocoque carbo-titanium chassis and over 40 different composite materials used in its construction.

Inside, the Utopia Roadster continues to impress with its lavish use of carbon fiber, leather, and aluminum. The exposed gear linkage of the seven-speed manual and the polished carbon fiber insert of the shifter are standout features. The meticulously crafted steering wheel, carved from a single piece of 9,480-pound metal over 28 hours using five-axis milling machines, weighs just 5.3 pounds and exemplifies Pagani’s dedication to detail and precision.

Limited to just 130 units worldwide, each Utopia Roadster is priced at €3.1 million (approximately $3.4 million USD). The first of these stunning vehicles will make its debut at Monterey Car Week in August, ensuring that the Pagani Utopia Roadster will be a rare and highly coveted masterpiece in the automotive world.
