Business People: Larkin Hoffman names new firm president

Larkin Hoffman, Minneapolis, announced Joseph J. Fittante, Jr. has been elected firm president, succeeding Paul R. Smith, who is stepping down; Jacob W. Steen and Michael J. Salchert have been elected to the firm’s board of directors and Inga K. Kingland has been re-elected to the board.

The Metropolitan Airports Commission announced it has selected Curt Rebelein as chief information security officer. Rebelein most recently served in a similar role at Provation Medical. The MAC owns and operates the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and six suburban reliever airports in the Twin Cities.

HEALTH CARE

HealthPartners, a Bloomington-based health insurer and health care provider, announced it has named Mike Ramstack vice president of security. Ramstack most recently oversaw security at Essentia Health in Duluth.

HONORS

United States Steel Corp. has been named a Beyond the Yellow Ribbon company by the Minnesota National Guard for the company’s continued commitment to an inclusive and supportive working environment for veterans. U.S. Steel Minnesota Ore Operations is located in Mountain Iron, Minn. … Arvig, a Perham-based provider of internet and telecommunication services to business and consumers, announced that its Rosevillle-based Arvig Answering Solutions has won the Association of TeleServices International’s Award of Excellence for the the 15th year.

The Courtyard by Marriott Hotel & Event Center, Mankato, announced Sherri Stencel as general manager.

Fredrikson, Minneapolis, announced the addition of attorney Travis J. Logghe as an officer in its Business & Tax Planning, Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions groups. … Ramsey County Bar Association announced Andrew Rorvig has been named president; Rorvig is a partner at McEllistrem, Fargione, Rorvig & Moe, Bloomington, where he practices personal injury law. Apogee Enterprises, a Bloomington-based provider of architectural windows and related products for commercial construction, is marking its 75th anniversary. The company was founded as the Harmon Glass Co. on July 12, 1949.

NONPROFITS

NMDP, formerly Be The Match, Minneapolis, announced the hires of Katherine Heyerdahl as chief financial officer and Jim Graham as chief information officer. Heyerdahl previously was chief strategy officer for Individual and Family Plans at UnitedHealth Group; Graham previously was with Prime Therapeutics. NMDP runs a national bone-marrow registry to match donors with cancer patient in need of a transplant.

The Minneapolis Regional Chamber announced it has named John Stanoch as interim CEO. He succeeds Jonathan Weinhagen, who reportedly has resigned. Stanoch is board chair of Medica Foundation and previously held numerous Twin Cities executive and nonprofit board roles. … The National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals announced Alycia Riedl as president. Riedl is a principal at financial consultant Mercer and a resident of Maple Grove.
