Red Sox lineups: Rafael Devers starting at 3B after injury scare

Following Tuesday night’s game, after suffering a terrifying injury scare in which he appeared to seriously injure his right shoulder, Rafael Devers said he was feeling fine but he wanted to see how he felt the next morning before determining if he’d need to miss any time.

Devers must have woken up feeling ok.

The Red Sox third baseman is in the lineup for Wednesday’s series finale. Devers will bat cleanup as Boston aims to take two of three from the Colorado Rockies and finish the west coast trip with a 2-4 mark. Masataka Yoshida, who is batting .310 in the month of July, is set to bat third and the Red Sox will use Romy Gonzalez at second base, David Hamilton at shortstop and Ceddanne Rafaela in center field.

Nick Pivetta (4-6, 3.87) will take on right-hander Cal Quantrill (6-7, 4.15). First pitch is scheduled for 3:10 p.m. ET.
