Kuwait H1 2024: Toyota Land Cruiser and Nissan Patrol top lukewarm market
The Nissan Patrol is up to #2 in Kuwait.
The Kuwaiti new vehicle market is off -3.5% year-on-year over the First Half of 2024 to 62,179 units. Toyota (-18.9%) struggles but easily keeps the brands lead, seeing its market share thaw from 32.5% to a still ultra dominant 27.3%. Nissan (+5.2%) and Ford (+13%) both go against the negative market to complete the podium, with Ford up two spots to #3. Kia (-1.3%) stays in 4th place whereas Chevrolet (-14%) drops two ranks to #5. Geely (+30.9%) cracks the Top 10 just as MG (+18.6%), Mitsubishi (+16.4%) and Hyundai (+13.5%) also post solid gains.
The Toyota Land Cruiser (-30.5%) is hit hard but remains in the models pole position with 5.7% of the market vs. 7% over the First Half of 2023. The Nissan Patrol (+26.1%) is in outstanding shape and climbs three spots to #2, displacing the Chevrolet Captiva (-3%), Toyota Prado (-16.5%) and Camry (-34%). The Ford Territory (+5.3%) also advances three ranks to #4. The Hyundai Tucson (+82.6%), Toyota Fortuner (+75.4%) and Hilux (+21.5%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10.
