Bahrain H1 2024: Ford (+154.2%), Suzuki (+186.7%) soar in positive market

The Territory helps Ford up 154.2% in Bahrain.

16,151 new vehicles found a buyer in Bahrain over the First Half of 2024, a sturdy 15.6% year-on-year improvement. Both Toyota (+23.6%) and Nissan (+46.4%) beat the market atop the brands charts, leading to increased shares of 34.5% and 10.2% respectively. Hyundai (-1.1%) falls to #3 ahead of Lexus (-3.3%) also not benefiting from the market uptick. MG (+15.4%) overtakes Isuzu (-2.7%) to hold the 5th spot overall, while Changan (+22.7%), Mazda (+23%) and Kia (+21.6%) all impress below. Ford (+154.2%) and Suzuki (+186.7%) are the best performers among mainstream brands.

Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (+115.5%) leaps up to first place with 5.7% share vs. 3% a year ago, it dislodges the Toyota Land Cruiser (+3.9%) at 5.4% vs. 6%. The Nissan Sunny (+52.4%) stays at #3 while the Toyota Yaris sedan (+103.2%) climbs five spots on H1 2023 to #4. The Isuzu D-Max (-7.3%) is in difficulty at #5 ahead of the Toyota RAV4 (+160.7%). The Toyota Corolla (+14.6%), Camry (+2.3%) and MG 5 (+11.1%) follow. The Ford Territory (+308.3%) ends the period just 30 units off a Top 10 finish.
