After tearing his hamstring, the senior came back and claimed first in the Meet of Champions’ triple jump with a 47-4. He also took third at New Englands with a 46 and seventh at the New Balance Nationals with a 47-10.5. The honors student will compete at UMass.

The junior earned Div. 1 state titles in both the 100-meters (10.58) and the high jump (6-8) while also nabbing the Meet of Champions title in the 100-meters (10.67). He also set personal bests in the 200-meters (22.25) and the 110-meter hurdles (14.70).

LINCOLN-SUDBURY
The sophomore was a three-time New Balance National qualifier and set a sophomore state record this year in the 200-meter. He placed runner-up in the 200-meter (21.59) and took home the title in the 400-meter (48.59) in the Meet of Champions. A three-time Dual County League champion, Begic also won the Div. 1 state title in the 200-meter.

WESTFORD ACADEMY
The senior placed first in the 2-mile (8:43.86) and the mile (4:07.98) in the Meet of Champions and set a personal record with an 8:39 in the 2-mile earlier this season. He also placed second at NBNI in the 5K (14:14). The high honor roll student has also won a Div. 1 cross country title and is committed to Stanford.

ST. JOHN’S PREP
The senior won the Meet of Champions pentathlon as well as setting the pentathlon record at the Div. 1 meet. He scored a 3,518 in the pentathlon and was an All-American in the decathlon. The New Balance All-American in the pentathlon and two-time Pentathlon champion is a National Honor Society member and will continue his track career at Babson College.

WELLESLEY
The four-time All-Scholastic and two-time Bay State Conference MVP won the 100-meters (10.72) and the 200-meters (21.35) at the Div. 2 state meet. The senior finished first in the state in the 55-meters, 100-meters and 200-meters and broke program records in the 55-meters, 100-meters, 200-meters and 300-meters races. A two-time Outstanding Male Athlete in Indoor and Outdoor Track, Brooks is an honor roll student and has committed to run track at the College of William & Mary.

WESTFORD ACADEMY
The junior placed second at the Meet of Champions in the 2-mile (8:52.76) as well as third in the mile (4:09.80). He also took home second at the 2-mile at the New Balance Nationals. The three-time All-American set a personal best with a 4:09.80 in the mile and an 8:52.67 in the 2-mile. He is committed to run cross country and track and field at the University of Tennessee.

The sophomore broke the school javelin record multiple times this season while winning the Merrimack Valley Championship and the Div. 2 meet. The team MVP broke the Weston Twilight meet with a 199-04 throw. The honor roll student broke the school javelin record on his first throw as a freshman and plans to throw javelin at a top track and field college.

The Northeastern Conference Athlete of the Year took the top spot in shot put (61-5) and discus (52.89 meters) at the Meet of Champions as well as the top spot in the same events at the Div. 2 meet. The junior also placed 13th and 21st in shot put and hammer, respectively, at New Balance Nationals. The Moynihan Student Athlete of the Month also plays football and has eight Div. 1 offers.

WESTFORD ACADEMY
The junior set nine school records in multiple events as he won the 110-meter hurdles (14.10) and finished as the runner-up at the 400-meter hurdles (55.08) at the Meet of Champions. The MSTCA North decathlon champion is an honor roll student and is planning to attend college while running track at the next level.

The senior was runner-up in the mile (4:09.09) and fourth place in the 2-mile (9:01) in the Meet of Champions. He also anchored the winning mile relay at the New Balance Nationals with a 4:10 split time. The high honor roll student and National Merit Scholar will be at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall.

BROCKTON
The sophomore ran a 54.87 to win the 400-meter hurdles at the Meet of Champions. He holds the record at the Norwell Twilight meet and is ranked fourth in the nation as a sophomore in the 400-meter hurdles. Mighty also ran a 110-meter hurdles in 15.1. The high honor roll student plans to go to a college on a full scholarship through sports to study civil engineering.

A 10-time Dual County League champion, Osselmann-Chai was the Div. 1 pole vault champion and set a personal record with a 14-6 height this season. The senior also set a personal best with a 14.58 in the 110-meter hurdles. The honor roll student will be running track and studying mathematics/economy at Amherst College.

The senior won the Dual County League 800-meter with a personal record of 1:54.39. He also placed second in the Div. 1 800-meter with a 1:55.77 and anchored the second place 4×400 relay team in the Meet of Champions. The three-time state champion is running track and field at Northeastern University next season.

The two-time Bay State Conference All Star set a Meet of Champions record with his javelin toss of 191-10 while also winning the Div. 3 title as well in the same event. The junior enjoys lifting and fishing in his spare time.

The two-time Hockomock League MVP and three-time Hockomock League All Star placed first in the 200-meters with a 21.45 while also placing fourth in the 100-meters (10.87). The senior had personal bests in the 100-meters (10.74) and the 400-meters (50.54). The honor roll student will be attending UMass-Lowell in the fall to compete for the track and field program while majoring in civil engineering.

The junior placed third in the 800-meters at the Meet of Champions with a 1:55.12 while also winning the Div. 5 800-meter with a 1:58.87. He also set personal records of 49.94 in the 400-meter and was part of the 4×400 with a total time of 3:24.95. The Letter of Commendation in Art winner hopes to go to a Div. 1 school for track and field

The senior ran a 1:55.06 to place third in the 800-meter at the Div. 1 meet. The All-American in the 4×800 and indoor Meet of Champions 600-meter champion is an all AP/Honors student. He will be running at Brown University this fall.

ST. JOHN’S (SHREWSBURY)
The senior holds seven program records for indoor and outdoor track as he claimed the long jump title at the Meet of Champions (23-0.5). He went undefeated in the event all season, including another Div. 1 state title with a fourth place finish at the New Balance Nationals where he earned All-American status. He will be running track at UConn in the fall.

The quartet of juniors Dunton, Lamar and Leonard and senior D’Angelo set a Meet of Champions record with a 41.89 in the event. Dunton is a first-time Patriot League All Star. He has a Massachusetts seal of biliteracy and plans to play football or track in college. The Saint Anselm-bound D’Angelo was named Patriot League MVP and won the Div. 4 state title in the 55-meters, 100-meters, 200-meters, 4×100 and 4×200 relays. Lamar also plays varsity soccer and plans to attend university in the future. Leonard is a former Patriot League MVP and holds the program’s record in outdoor track scoring. The three-time Patriot League All Star will pursue football or track at the Div. 1 level.

Justin Briggs, Mitchell, Kisgen, Kieran Maguire, Tory Stuckey
The team of juniors Briggs and Kisgen with seniors Maguire and Stuckey took home fifth in the Meet of Champions with a time of 3:21.32. The team also took fourth at New Englands and the crown in the Div. 1 state meet while running the best time of the year in the state with a 3:19.51 earlier this season. Briggs is a three-time Catholic Conference All Star and an honor roll student. The National Honor Society member plans to major in automotive/mechanical engineering. Maguire is a two-time Catholic Conference All Star and a National Honor Society member who will attend St. Bonaventure. Stuckey is a three-time Catholic Conference All Star and an honors student who will attend UMass. Kisgen was named Catholic Conference MVP and placed second in the 400-meters (48.76) at the Meet of Champions.

With seniors Altindag, Teszler and Helman along with junior Talisayon, this team ran a team best 3:20.08 to win the Meet of Champions. Altindag is a high honor roll student who will be running track at Amherst College. Teszler is a Bay State Conference All Star and placed fifth at the 400-meter with a 49.87. He will be studying engineering and running track at Swarthmore College. Helman is a three-time state champion and two-year captain who will be at the University of Vermont in the fall. Talisayon placed fifth in the 400-meter at the Meet of Champions (49.19).

Theodore Butty, Altamo Aschkenasy, Kailas Ciatto, Hunter Bailey
The squad of sophomore Butty, junior Aschkenasy and seniors Ciatto and Bailey ran a 7:49.20 to claim the top spot at the Meet of Champions. Butty was named MSTCA freshman/sophomore Athlete of the Meet and is a Bay State Conference All Star. Ciatto set a personal best 1:59.67 in the 800-meters this season and is now a two-time All Scholastic. He will be running at UMass. Aschkenasy ran a 1:55.10 in the 800-meters, while the Oregon-bound Bailey ran a 1:59.37 in the 800-meters.
