Emma Roberts is a fiancée! The “American Horror Story” actress announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Cody John.

“Putting this here before my mom tells everyone,” Roberts captioned the photo of the newly engaged couple as she flashed her ring for the shot.

In the announcement, Roberts mentions her mom Kelly Cunningham in reference to earlier this year when she displayed Roberts’ 3 year-old-son, Rhodes, on social media without telling her.

“When your mom posts your sons face without asking but you love them both so whatever,” she wrote on her IG Story on Feb. 9.

Roberts shares Rhodes with her ex, Garrett Hedlund.

John, an actor who’s appeared in “Wu-Tang: An American Saga”, confirmed his relationship with Roberts back in 2022 posting a photo of the lovebirds kissing in an Instagram post captioned “sweet, sweet.”

Though the couple have been spotted out periodically holding hands and sharing kisses while out in New York City, Roberts says she doesn’t like speaking about her relationships publicly. “I never want to talk about relationships I’m in or that are ending or have ended. It’s hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience,” Roberts told Cosmopolitan in 2019.

With that said, it’s unclear exactly how the pair met and the exact timeline of their relationship, but a source told E! News back in 2023 that the couple met through mutual friends.

“She’s been very content with Cody and they’re enjoying their relationship and time together,” the source told E! News. “Their friends and family are happy for the both of them and think they make a great couple.”
