Trump Secures Republican Presidential Nomination
By Janice Hisle MILWAUKEE—It’s official: Former President Donald Trump is the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential nominee. The announcement was made almost simultaneously with former President Trump’s announcement of his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio). The GOP confirmed its nomination of the former president as the state of Florida added its delegates to the official count.
