Man’s body recovered from Lake Marion in Lakeville Saturday night

Authorities with the Dakota County Sheriff’s office say the body of a man who went underwater in Lake Marion on Saturday night has been recovered.

On Saturday night, authorities posted on the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page that there was an “active water incident” in Lakeville and that Antlers Park was closing.

At 9 p.m., Sheriff Joe Leko left a comment on the Facebook post saying a man’s body had been recovered: “At approximately 8pm, our dive team recovered an adult male 40 yards from shore who went underwater and didn’t resurface. Our deep condolences to his family and friends.”
