Cyprus June 2024: Market up 28.6%
The Hyundai Tucson is the best-selling model in Cyprus for the third month running.
Data by our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT has the Cyprus new car market up a sturdy 28.6% year-on-year in June to 1,417 sales, leading the H1 2024 up 15.1% to 8,790. The Top 3 carmakers all outpace the market: Kia is up 39.8% to 21.8% share, Hyundai up 74.3% to 12.4% and Volkswagen up 408.8% to 12.2%. Toyota (+21.7%) is also up at #4 with 11.1% share vs. 10.5% so far this year. Nissan (-1.7%) underperforms at #5. Note the Top 5 manufacturers hold a combined 65.8% market share. Dacia (+211.1%), Audi (+70.4%), BMW (+52.2%) and Mercedes (+48.6%) also shine below. Model-wise, the Hyundai Tucson (+69.9%) threepeats at #1 with a strong 8.8% share vs. 6.4% over H1 2024. It distances the Kia Stonic (+226.5%), still #1 year-to-date, the Kia Sportage (+76.5%), VW T-Roc (+1183.3%) and Kia Ceed (+103.2%).
