Poland June 2024: MG HS up to #12 in euphoric market

Record month for the MG HS in Poland.

The Polish new car market is euphoric in June at +21% year-on-year to 48,749 sales. This way, the H1 2024 tally is now up 16.3% to 270,864. Toyota (+24.4%) manages to beat the market but at 15.5% is way below its H1 level of 18.9% share. Skoda (+2.5%) is a lot more shy at 9.7% vs. 11.2% while Volkswagen (+11.4%) also trails behind and Hyundai (+20.8%) matches the market. Kia (-22.5%) disappoints at #5, down two spots on last month to #5. Mercedes (+37.8%) also shines in the remainder of the Top 10, with Lexus (+49.3%), Mazda (+40.8%), Volvo (+27.2%), Ford (+23.3%) and Suzuki (#14) standing out below.

Over in the models aisle, the Toyota Corolla (-1.1%) reclaims the top spot it holds year-to-date despite a year-on-year loss. It topples the Skoda Octavia (-14.8%) while the Toyota Yaris (-9%) rallies back up six spots on May to #3 but disappoints year-on-year. In contrast the Toyota Yaris Cross (+139.6%) and Hyundai Tucson (+32.6%) both impress, as do the Skoda Superb (+69.5%) and Toyota RAV4 (+31.6%) among the rest of the 10 best-sellers. The MG HS surges 15 ranks on last month to a record 12th place.
