2025 Audi RS e-tron GT Performance Gets 912 Horsepower Making It The Most Powerful Audi Yet

Audi has unveiled the 2025 RS e-tron GT Performance, marking its most powerful production vehicle to date. With an impressive 912 horsepower under its hood, this electric sedan emerges as a formidable counterpart to its recently updated sibling, the Porsche Taycan. The RS e-tron GT Performance joins a lineup that includes the S e-tron GT and the standard RS e-tron GT, each offering varying levels of power and performance.

In addition to its staggering horsepower, the RS e-tron GT Performance boasts a lightning-fast acceleration time, reaching 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds—making it Audi’s quickest production car ever, although slightly slower than the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT’s 2.3 seconds. Its siblings are no slouches either, with the RS e-tron GT delivering 845 hp and a 0-62 mph time of 2.8 seconds, while the base e-tron GT offers 671 hp and achieves 62 mph in 3.4 seconds. All models feature a dual-motor setup for robust all-wheel drive capability, with no plans for a rear-wheel-drive option.

Enhancements extend beyond power and speed to include an upgraded battery pack with increased usable capacity of 97.0 kilowatt-hours, up from 84.0 kWh, and a lighter weight by 20 pounds. Charging capabilities have also improved, supporting up to 320 kilowatts for rapid charging. In optimal conditions, the battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes, providing 174 miles of range in just 10 minutes.

The RS e-tron GT Performance further distinguishes itself with a bespoke two-chamber, two-valve air suspension system that adjusts the car’s height by up to 3 inches, optimizing comfort over varying road conditions. Audi has tailored this model with a dedicated performance mode for track enthusiasts, enhancing its handling capabilities.

Design cues pay homage to Audi’s heritage, with 21-inch forged wheels reminiscent of the 1991 Audi Avus Quattro concept and a digital instrument cluster in the RS e-tron GT Performance featuring a white theme inspired by the 1994 RS2 Avant.

While pricing for the US market remains undisclosed, European pricing starts at €126,000 ($135,200) for the S e-tron GT, €147,500 ($158,200) for the RS e-tron GT, and €160,500 ($172,200) for the RS e-tron GT Performance. Audi’s latest offerings in the e-tron GT lineup promise not only electrifying performance but also advancements in technology and design, reaffirming their commitment to the future of automotive excellence.
