Watch: Alex Verdugo homers on first at-bat back at Fenway with Yankees
Alex Verdugo is back at Fenway Park this weekend for the first time since the Red Sox traded him to the New York Yankees last December, and he made a statement in his first at-bat.
Scratch that, on the first pitch he saw from Brayan Bello, which he sent 406 feet at 104 mph to the very corner of the center-field bleachers for a 2-0 Yankees lead in the top of the first.

Verdugo played for the Red Sox from 2020-23. He was the centerpiece of the Mookie Betts trade, which also brought current catcher Connor Wong to Boston.
