Subaru Partners with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for 9th Year

For the ninth consecutive year, Subaru of America, Inc. has joined forces with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to bring comfort and support to those battling blood cancers during Subaru Loves to Care® month in June. This enduring partnership highlights Subaru’s unwavering commitment to aiding patients and their families during their challenging journeys.

Subaru’s contributions to LLS are unmatched in the automotive sector. By the conclusion of 2024, Subaru of America and its network of retailers will have provided support to nearly 350,000 cancer patients across the United States. This support includes funding, the donation of blankets, and heartfelt messages of encouragement. Additionally, Subaru will match donations made through LLS.org during Subaru Loves to Care month, up to a total of $100,000, significantly boosting the impact of individual contributions.

Throughout the campaign, Subaru and more than 600 of its retailers will deliver blankets and handwritten messages of hope to cancer patients in hospitals nationwide. Over 400 of these retailers will also offer specially curated patient care kits alongside their blanket donations, providing essential emotional and physical support during treatment and recovery.

Alan Bethke, Subaru of America’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, emphasized the importance of personalized gestures of support for those facing cancer. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to partner with LLS and highlighted the collective effort to provide warmth, love, and relief to courageous patients.

In addition to these efforts, Subaru retailers are also supporting the LLS Urgent Need Pediatric, Adolescent and Young Adult Fund, which assists young cancer patients and their families with non-medical expenses such as groceries, transportation, and household utilities. Dr. E. Anders Kolb, President and CEO of LLS, praised Subaru’s generous contributions and acknowledged the joy that these thoughtful gestures bring to patients, especially children undergoing treatment.
