Upcoming Housing and Land Use-Related Events:

Monday, June 3 at 5 p.m.: The NYC Rent Guidelines Board will hold a hearing to collect public testimony on proposed rent adjustments for the city’s rent stabilized tenants at Hostos Community College in the Bronx. More here.

Tuesday, June 4 at 9:30 a.m.: The NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission will hold a public hearing on several properties, including the Brooklyn Edison Building. More here.

Tuesday, June 4 at 10 a.m.: The NYC Council’s Committee on Aging will hold an oversight hearing on supporting the city’s Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities, and will also discuss a resolution calling on the state to increase the income eligibility threshold for several housing assistance programs for seniors. Tuesday, June 4 at 1 p.m.: The NYC Council’s Subcommittee on Landmarks, Public Sitings and Dispositions will meet about two land use applications related to the Red Hook Coastal Resiliency project. More here.

Thursday, June 6 at 10 a.m.: The NYC Council’s Committee on Immigration will vote on bills that would require the city to conduct surveys of newly arrived migrants on their health and employment needs. More here.

Wednesday, June 5 at 5 p.m.: The NYC Rent Guidelines Board will hold a hearing to collect public testimony on proposed rent adjustments for the city’s rent stabilized tenants at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn. More here.

Monday, June 10 at 1 p.m.: The NYC Planning Commission will hold a review session. More here.

NYC Affordable Housing Lotteries Ending Soon: The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) are closing lotteries on the following subsidized buildings over the next week.

1 Park Point, Brooklyn, for households earning between $33,806 – $167,700

3418 Third Avenue Apartments, Bronx, for households earning between $84,755 – $218,010

217 Main Street Apartments, Staten Island, for households earning between $85,715 – $218,010

Kelly Residentials aka 1034 Kelly Street Apartments, Bronx, for households earning between $104,640 – $181,740

414 East 152nd Street Apartments, Bronx, for households earning between $106,458 – $218,010

12-22 Astoria Boulevard Apartments, Queens, for households earning between $96,000 – $218,010

676 Myrtle Avenue Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $120,000 – $218,010
