The 2025 BMW M3 makes a ‘strong’ debut with impressive performance enhancements. Equipped with the S58B30T0 3.0-liter straight-six turbocharged engine, the M3 Competition now delivers up to 523 horsepower and 473 lb-ft of torque when equipped with the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. This power boost ensures a robust performance, with a top speed limited to 155 mph, or up to 180 mph with the optional M Driver’s Pack. The vehicle retains its swift acceleration, sprinting from 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.

The 2025 M3 features several subtle but impactful styling updates. The front end now showcases arrow-shaped LED daytime running lights and turn signal indicators, combining the low- and high-beam functions into a single module. Optional M Shadowline lights add darker accents within the headlight housings. At the rear, the Competition models’ trunk lid badge is now accented with a silver border. New wheel options include the Style 825M wheels with a bright silver finish. Unlike its sibling, the M4, the M3’s taillights remain unchanged.

Inside, the M3 receives a refreshed design with a newly redesigned steering wheel featuring updated spokes, a flat-bottomed rim, and a red center marker at the top. Optional Alcantara finish is available for the steering wheel. Interior trims now include Aluminum Rhombicle Anthracite, M Carbon Fiber, and a new M Fine Brushed Aluminum option. The optional Sensatec faux leather dash has also been refined for a more sophisticated appearance.

The latest BMW iDrive 8.5 system powers the infotainment and driver cluster. The Curved Display includes a 12.3-inch screen for the driver and a 14.9-inch central touchscreen, both featuring M-specific graphics. Climate controls are managed through widgets at the bottom of the display. Additionally, the air vent grilles now come with updated adjustment controls.

The M Carbon Exterior Package offers carbon fiber-reinforced plastic inlays for various exterior components, such as the front intakes, rear diffuser, mirror housings, and rear spoiler. The comprehensive M Carbon Package includes M Carbon ceramic brakes with gold calipers, M Carbon bucket seats, carbon interior trim, and M Drive Professional, which provides advanced features like a lap timer, drift analyzer, variable traction control, and an M-specific track mode. The M Driver’s Package also includes a raised speed limiter.

Production of the new M3 is set to begin in July 2024 at the BMW Group Plant Munich, bringing the latest evolution of this iconic sports sedan to enthusiasts worldwide with a starting price of $76,000 while the M3 Competition will carry a price of $80,200 and $85,300 for the all-wheel-drive M xDrive M3 Competition.
