Morocco April 2024: Sales back in positive, Citroen (+69.9%), Fiat (+47.7%) impress

Citroen sales gain 69.9% year-on-year in April.

Sales of new light vehicles in Morocco advance 6.3% year-on-year in April to 13,268 units. This includes 11,906 passenger cars (+5.6%) and 1,362 light commercials (+12.9%). The year-to-date passenger car tally is down -3.1% to 43,647. In the lead of the brands ranking, Dacia (+17.5%) outpaces the market to 25% share vs. 27.5% so far this year. In contrast Renault (-7.5%), Peugeot (-11.6%) and Hyundai (-24.8%) all dive year-on-year. Volkswagen (+7%) is up two spots on March to #5, with Citroen (+69.9%), Fiat (+47.7%), Skoda (+25.5%) and Opel (+25.3%) all scoring fantastic upticks in the remainder of the Top 10.
