A new series set in the same universe as “The Office” has been picked up by streaming service Peacock.

The new show was created by Greg Daniels, who adapted the American version of “The Office,” along with “Nathan for You” co-creator Michael Koman. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, who created the British iteration of the show, are also producing.

The untitled series is set to go into production in July.

“The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch is in search of a new subject when they discover a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters,” according to a press release.

The show promises an ensemble cast, but so far only Domhnall Gleeson (“Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “About Time”) and Sabrina Impacciatore (“The White Lotus”) have been announced.

The American version of “The Office” ran on NBC from 2005 to 2013 but has maintained its fandom on streaming and with reruns in syndication.

“It’s been more than 10 years since the final episode of ‘The Office’ aired on NBC, and the acclaimed comedy series continues to gain popularity and build new generations of fans on Peacock,” said Lisa Katz, president of scripted content at NBCUniversal. “This new series set in the universe of Dunder Mifflin introduces a new cast of characters in a fresh setting ripe for comedic storytelling: a daily newspaper.”
