BMW has introduced the eagerly awaited M4 CS, positioned snugly between the Competition and CSL variants, promising heightened performance and a thrilling driving experience. Mirroring the M3 CS, this two-door powerhouse boasts a potent 543-horsepower twin-turbocharged inline-six engine, delivering 479 pound-feet of torque to the ground via BMW’s M xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in a blistering 3.2 seconds, with a capped top speed of 188 mph, it promises an adrenaline-inducing ride.

Notably, the M4 CS sheds weight, shedding 45 pounds compared to the M4 Competition, courtesy of carbon fiber reinforced plastic employed in various body panels and interior components like the hood, front splitter, and center console. Even the exhaust system undergoes a trim, slashing eight pounds. Paired with bespoke chassis and suspension tuning, the M4 CS promises not just straight-line speed but also agility through corners, although it narrowly misses out on eclipsing the CSL’s Nürburgring lap time.

To optimize performance on the track, BMW offers track or “ultra-track” tires at no additional cost, mounted on staggered M alloy wheels. Inside, the CS exudes a sporty ambiance, with a distinctive black interior adorned with red accents, leather, and Alcantara. Exterior options include Riviera Blue or Frozen Isle of Man Green, accentuated with exposed carbon fiber and yellow running lights. The iconic kidney grille, now frameless and adorned with red trim, adds to the CS’s visual allure.

However, this enhanced performance and exclusivity come at a premium, with the M4 CS commanding a starting price of $124,675, inclusive of destination charges—a significant jump from the M4 Competition xDrive. Despite the hefty price tag, enthusiasts eagerly anticipate its arrival, with production slated to commence in July and deliveries expected later in the year.
