Thursday’s high school roundup/scores: Mira Flaherty collects career-high seven goals in Weymouth victory

In Bay State girls lacrosse action, Mira Flaherty finished with a career-high seven goals while Megan Doyle added seven points to boost Weymouth past Brookline, 15-4.

In Northeastern Conference play, Avery Laundry (four goals, one assist), Coco Clopton (three goals, one assist), and Sophia Ciciotti (three goals) scored as Gloucester shut out Swampscott 15-0.

In a Cape & Islands matchup, Bailey Lower recorded 11 points (six goals, five assists) and Emerson Pekarcik added nine (eight goals, assist) to lead Nantucket to a 18-6 win over Falmouth. … Alex Proefrock had four goals and two assists while Kelly Blake (5 assists), Kendall Herrick, and Maeve Kelly all had hat tricks as Medfield rolled to an 18-6 win over Medway.

In Atlantic Coast action, Abi Reisig recorded a hat trick while Kyla Darmon added four goals and an assist to lead Sandwich (11-0) to a 18-7 win over Middleboro.

Boys lacrosse

Todd Egan (three goals, two assists), Ben Tondorf (three goals, two assists), Tyler Kline (two goals, one assist), and Eamon Haley (two goals) found the net as South Shore Tech defeated Cape Cod Tech, 11-2, in a Mayflower Conference game.

In a Northeastern matchup, Carson Palmer notched six goals and had one assist as Swampscott bested Gloucester 17-5.

In nonleague play, Lucas Gangi (four goals and four assists), Shaun Teehan (two goals and four assists) and Ryan Jaco (three goals, including his 100th career point) led the way as Oliver Ames cruised to a 12-2 victory over Middleboro.

Drew Bossi notched three goals while Jake Vana and Cam McCarthy added two goals each to lead St. John’s Prep over Catholic Memorial, 13-8, in the Catholic Conference.

Baseball

Jake Gilstein worked a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh to give Georgetown (11-0) a 1-0 win over Triton in the Cape Ann League. Ty Gilmore threw a two-hit shutout and Hayden Ruth had three hits for the Royals.

In the South Shore League, Cole Keller threw a no-hitter with 14 Ks as Middleboro blanked Cohasset 6-0. … Colin McCarthy struck out 11 and allowed one hit over six scoreless frames as Norwell (8-2) edged Abington 5-3.

Mike Zavala, Owen Jorajuria and Charlie Dickie all drove in two as Weston rolled to a 12-2 Dual County League victory over Acton-Boxboro. … In the Boston City League, Harry Norton went the distance while allowing two unearned runs as Latin Academy defeated O’Bryant 6-2.

Andrew Haddigan had a career day, going 5-for-5 at the plate with a double, four singles, four RBI, three runs scored and three stolen bases as Southeastern defeated Mayflower Athletic Conference opponent Blue Hills 14-4 in six frames. …

In a South Coast Conference contest, Nathan Levesque struck out 13 in a complete game shutout to lead Apponequet to a 4-0 victory over East Bridgewater.

Thomas Benson scored off a Sam Larkee walkoff hit as Norwood edged nonleague opponent Xaverian 4-3 in nine innings.

Softball

In a nonleague game, Abby Lancaster finished 3-for-4 with three runs, and an RBI to lead Dartmouth to a 8-2 victory over Greater New Bedford… Abby Hunt struck out eight in a complete game and Victoria Fish finished with three hits as Milton (10-0) defeated Notre Dame Academy (H) 8-2.

Elsie Testa allowed a pair of hits in a complete-game effort with 10 strikeouts and added an RBI at the dish to aid Abington (12-0) to a 7-1 win over South Shore opponent Norwell.

Volleyball

In nonleague play, Leonardo Cruz stuffed the stat sheet with eight kills, seven aces and nine digs as Lynn Classical (10-3) swept Wakefield 3-0.
