Woodbury residents asked to weigh in on city’s first environmental stewardship plan

Woodbury officials are in the process of developing the city’s first environmental stewardship plan, and they want the public’s help.

Residents are asked to attend one of two upcoming community outreach sessions to weigh in on possible goals or actions for the city to pursue.

Woodbury “is firmly committed to the preservation, responsible use and enhancement of the environment,” said Jennifer McLoughlin, Woodbury’s environmental resources manager.

Through the planning process, city officials will be developing specific goals and strategies “that support sustainability and resilience into the future,” McLoughlin said. “We’ll also be identifying actions that the city and community members can take to sustain and improve the natural environment.”

The community outreach sessions will be:

5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Ojibway Park Building, 2695 Ojibway Park Drive, Woodbury
5:30-7 p.m. Feb. 26 at Central Park, Valley Creek Room A, 8595 Central Park Place, Woodbury
