Nordic skiing state meet: East Metro teams, individuals to watch

The high school skiing state meet continues Wednesday at Giant’s Ridge in Biwabik, Minn., with Day 1 of the Nordic skiing competition.

The individual champions are determined on Wednesday in the pursuit-style event that features the classic ski with interval starts in the morning, and the freestyle pursuit in the afternoon.

While those individual results contribute to the team scores, the overall team champions won’t be determined until the points from Thursday’s team sprints are factored into the equation.

The boys freestyle pursuit is set for 2 p.m., with the girls to follow at 3 p.m.

The races can be streamed for a fee at prepspotlight.tv/mshsl.
