BOYS BASKETBALL

Alex Wilkins scored 30 points, and Timmy Mulvey recorded 11 points as Brooks (11-7) beat Middlesex 71-47 in the Independent School League. … Ryan Altman (19 points, four rebounds, three assists) and Amir Lindsey (18 points, three rebounds, seven assists) were the top two  scorers, while Andrew Alekseyenko, Robby Fiore and Jay Jones put up 12 points each as Rivers (14-2) defeated Governor’s 75-58.

In the South Coast Conference, Dom Quelle (22 points) and Mike Dankert (20 points) each turned in fantastic performances offensively, as Bourne (13-1) rolled to a 73-47 win over rival Case.

Connor Pease registered a double-double (19 points, 11 rebounds) while Kingston Maxwell (19 points) and Tyler Staiti (17 points) also contributed offensively for Abington (10-5) during a 59-56 victory over Norwell in South Shore League play. … Connor Finn (23 points, seven assists), Cam Murphy (17 points), Luke Rodgers (13 points), Dan Oman (12 points, four rebounds) and Matt Murray (10 points, eight rebounds) stepped up for Sandwich (7-6) in a 79-62 win over East Bridgewater.

Giovanni Jean (21 points, six assists, five rebounds), Ederick Gonzalez (14 points, three assists, 10 rebounds) and Andy Batista (10 points, five assists) finished in double figures in scoring for Lynn Tech (10-2) in a 64-54 Commonwealth Athletic Conference win over Lowell Catholic.

In nonleague play, Matt Breen had a double-double with 24 points and 12 boards as Shawsheen (9-4) upended Bristol-Plymouth 75-42.

In the Patriot League, Giovanni Joseph (21 points) and Jake Brilliant (19 points) combined to pace Marshfield (6-7) during a thrilling 89-84 victory over archrival Duxbury.

Jaylen Thomas (12 points, four rebounds, two assists), Khamari Gillings (12 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks), Ray Miller (10 points, five assists, four steals) and Christian Dalton (eight points, eight assists, four rebounds) steered New Heights toward a 58-42 win over Foxboro Regional Charter.

Dylan Dormady propelled his squad with a 29-point outing, as Rising Tide held on for a 61-54 Cape and Islands League victory over Sturgis East.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lyla Peters (12 points), Ella Fitzpatrick (11 points) and Ava Welch (10 points) guided the Duxbury offense during a 53-39 Patriot League win over Marshfield.

Liv McManus netted 20 points as East Bridgewater (9-5) won 52-33 over nonleague opponent Barnstable … Logan Lomasney erupted for 31 points, carrying Peabody (9-4) to a 60-23 win over Lynn English. … Ava Orlando (19 points, 10 rebounds, eight steals) and Effie Giannopoulos (14 points, 10 rebounds) notched double-doubles, and Sofia Danick added three points and nine rebounds as Notre Dame (Hingham) bested Archbishop Williams 45-23.

In the South Shore League, Maddie Oliver (26 points, 13 rebounds) and Alex Cassidy (26 points, seven rebounds) led the way as Norwell (12-1) took down Abington 71-53.

Nazaihh Heriise (17 points, eight rebounds, nine steals), Nya Isidor (seven points, 10 rebounds), Navaeh Stephney (eight points, four rebounds) and Rhianna Darosa (eight points, two steals) led New Heights in a 56-16 victory over Foxboro Regional Charter.

BOYS HOCKEY

Carter Balducci scored a hat trick and dished an assist for Franklin (9-6) in an 8-0 Hockomock League win over Attleboro.

Colvin Callahan, Ben Kramer and Jesse Peck found the net for Xaverian (10-4) in a 3-1 Catholic Conference victory over St. John’s (Shrewsbury). … Mike Corbett tallied a goal and added an assist, while Nick D’Olympio sniped the game-ending goal in overtime as Catholic Memorial (9-5-2) defeated St. John’s Prep, 2-1.

Teddy Steinberg, Ned Akashian, Danny Gleason and Kyle Novo scored two goals each, while Nate Dodge and Alita Gulizia tallied a goal apiece as Lowell (4-8-1) rolled to a 10-5 nonleague win over East Boston.

In the Commonwealth Athletic Conference, Kyle Bouvier had a hat trick as Greater Lowell/Nashoba Tech (11-6-1) defeated Minuteman 7-1.

Brendan McNeil scored three times as Bishop Feehan (8-1) took down Bishop Fenwick 5-1 in Catholic Central League action.

Zach Boss registered a pair of goals, including the game-clincher in overtime to lead Whitman-Hanson (6-7-1) to a wild 2-1 win over North Quincy in Patriot League action. Luke Tropeano (two assists) recorded his 100th career point in the effort.  … Brandon Perry, Kevin Murrin and Ryan Conway scored for Pembroke (7-4-3) in a 3-1 win over Plymouth North.

Owen McKenna netted three goals for Walpole (4-7-1) in a 4-1 Bay State Conference victory over Weymouth.

Casey Huse scored a goal and dished two assists as Monomoy/Mashpee (2-9-2) defeated Dennis-Yarmouth 4-1 in a Cape and Islands League matchup.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Jules Connors netted a hat trick and Hayden Mathias scored her first career goal as Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake topped nonleague opponent West/East Bridgewater 5-1. … Brianna Dacey, Alyssa Jankowski and Antonia DiZoglio got the goals for Malden Catholic (9-3-2) in a 3-1 win over Notre Dame (Hingham). … Keira Twomey and Kasey Litwin scored for St. Mary’s (Lynn) (14-1-1) in a 2-1 win over Reading.

Adrianna Kelsch hit the back of the net twice, and Ainsley Hopwood and Casey Pestili scored as well for Sandwich/Carver (5-8-1) in a 4-2 Cape and Islands League win over Barnstable.

Kate Sullivan (two goals, assist) and Morgan McGathey (goal, two assists) paced the offense, and Madison Hayes made 22 saves as Thayer won 5-3 over Brooks in an Independent School League contest.
