Salon Privé 2023. This years show piece: The Yellow Collection

This year’s special car collection at Salon Privé 2023 featured a variety of super classics, united by one thing: the colour yellow. In this video, we take a look around the display of cars. Yellow is a significant colour for cars, being famously favoured as one of the few core brand colours for Ferrari, Lamborghini and Lotus, among others. Yellow was and is a cool and edgy colour choice. Yellow also happens to be the safest car colour, just pipping white for safety rating and accident risk. It stands out from the landscape of trees, houses and road signs, and it’s more noticeable because it’s less common. We doubt, though, that the owners of the fabulous cars in the Salon Privé yellow collection were thinking about road safety. In the case of at least one of them, the colour is so rare it massively adds to the cars value.

Aston Martin DB6 GT
